What if we told you that you can wear Ciriana coats, jackets and blouses for a decade and your clothes will still look as good as new?
At some point we became obsessed with the concept of quality and durability of our clothes. For this purpose we replaced all our fabrics and accessories into the finest organic textiles made of the healthiest cotton and silk that exist.​​​

COTTON
Our cotton is grown organically and regeneratively in small farms in Egypt,
Turkey and Brazil. Because it is cultivated with utmost care and it is free from
harmful chemicals, our cotton is soft and durable. The process of producing a
final textile out of such exceptional fibers is meticulous and also deprived of
chemical interventions. Not only our fabrics are durable but also gentle on the
skin.
To make the cotton fabric more durable we added an extra step called
combing. Combing is a part of the production process that removes shorter
fibers, leaving all the impurities behind and resulting in the most uniform and
longest fibers.
As a result, our textiles feel luxurious to the touch, are pilling resistant and
maintain their shape over time.
SILK
Even if we consider all silk to be organic, the industrial methods used by
major producers are far from being environmentally friendly. Silk is a fiber that
silkworms produce to make their cocoons, they serve as a protective casing
during their pupal stage. Unfortunately most of the silkworms used do not
survive this stage; they are typically boiled or gassed alive within their
cocoons to facilitate the unwinding of the silk threads. This process requires
approximately 6,600 silkworms to produce just one kilogram of silk. We do
not use silk that is sourced this way.
Due to the silkworms' extreme sensitivity, any chemical use in the process
would lead to the premature death of the larvae. We have partnered with
producers in Brazil who cultivate mulberry trees and rear silkworms in small
farms. This ensures that the production process is both ethical and
environmentally responsible. We prioritize quality over quantity and are proud
of the choices that we have made.
DYEING
We have decided to avoid synthetic dyes, even those which are GOTS
certified. We primarily use undyed textiles which come in a whole array of
natural shades from white, through cream and beige up to brownish and solid
brown. Our collections are mostly in pastel colours, which we do on purpose
to avoid using unhealthy substances.

When we choose to create patterns, they are made with plant-based prints
that we discovered only recently. We are committed to developing techniques
for eco printing even further in order to make it easier accessible for anybody.
Subtle is our middle name. The strong, the vibrant and the tacky do we leave
for others.
